Even better in my opinion! Let me tell you everything you need to know to have an amazing day at Sensea! Sensea is located in Chester, a little less than an hour outside of Halifax. They are open all year and 7 days a week. Right now their hours are 10am — 7pm Sunday through Thursday and 10am-9pm Friday and Saturday. You do have to book either a spa pass, or a spa service which includes a spa pass in the price in order to visit.

Partners Christophe Debeaumont and Laetitia Gonthier opened SENSEA on January 1st, — after years of experience in the field and a passion for the principals, they have created a truly magical place — inspired by the Nordic culture and designed to stimulate all your senses. The concept of Nordic spas is simple but comes with incredible benefits. Moving from steam rooms and saunas that simulate cardiac function and promote blood circulation to ice baths, rain showers and outdoor pools that serve to close the pores, reduce inflammation and boost the immune system through increased circulation. SENSEA also offers a wide variety of relaxation and therapeutic massages along with other treatments, as well as lakeside yoga sessions, calming rituals and so much more. Opened January 1, the spa offers a unique spa experience unlike any around. The Sensea Spa offers you an amazing experience whether you spend a couple hours there or the whole day. The Sensea Nordic Spa is all about hydro and thermal therapy. The goal is to heat yourself up, cool yourself down, then relax and repeat. You can do this in various ways by mixing up the sauna experiences, enjoying an Aufguss ritual, and using the hammam scented steam rooms , then enjoying the outdoor pools. If you are looking for a thrill be sure to also stand under one of the cold shower buckets and pull the string to dump it on your head. But remember that this is supposed to be a relaxing spa so try not to scream and scare the other guests. In between cycles make sure you take time to relax by a fire pit or lay in a hammock in the woods by the lake.
