Shaman elemental or enhancement
By xkrissiJuly 24, in Shaman. Which has a higher single target dps atm? Enhancement might have slightly higher theoretical dps, but it's a moot point.
I would love to be able to bring utility to the raid team in Dragonflight. I don't think a watered down elesham mastery for everyone else is the best choice, but it would be better than nothing. Alternately we could have some kind of boon of the elements which just gives a random raid buff from the pool so you can fill any missing slots. I have seen them dance arround the question repeatedly but it never lessened my concerns. I like how Ion brought up that not every class should be in on every fight then why did they give almost every class some piece of utility that guarentees that they are required on every fight?

Forgot your password? Enhancement is a melee specialization with a heavy emphasis on both Physical attacks and Elemental spells, weaving both together in a fast-paced combat style and an emphasis on effects that amplify the strength of different abilities. The gameplay has 3 central pillars: juggling different ability cooldowns, your stacks of the Maelstrom Weapon effect, and reacting to procs. This means you will often be cycling your abilities on cooldown in order of priority, with some excelling in different scenarios. We can adapt well to different target counts and excel whenever an additional target is present to make use of our funnel, cleave, and burst AoE tools. We also come with a solid utility toolkit for dungeons, and Windfury Totem provides an extra boost to other melee players in our party, granting us unique damage-increasing utility. We are maintaining a list of changes for Shamans, so you can see what changes with every patch of Dragonflight. Due to Patch The only change worth noting is that Primordial Wave has been converted to Elemental damage to align with its new animation. This currently does not work with our Mastery, but may do so in the future. The guide is, therefore mostly unchanged, but some sections have been cleaned up and polished to represent a more complete reflection of the mid-season experience in Season 3. If you are interested in playing Enhancement but still need to get a Shaman at max level, we have a leveling guide with tips to help you along your journey. After reaching max level, it can sometimes be difficult to immediately include new add-ons and UI elements you are not used to, and make the transition to end-game play is quite jarring.
So I don't think those classes need a random 1 hour buff to be played. Top PvP Addons. Well, although my main PVE spec will be restoration, i can't decide which dps one to take.
Hi, so I decided to feed my alt addiction. I just wanted to ask would you recommend elemental or enhancement as the main spec? Especially including how the specs preform in shadowlands. So yeah, anyway any advice or recommendation would be really appreciated. Avoid both specs… avoid Shaman completely. Enjoy spamming Blizzard for fixes.
I am trying to decide between elemental and enhancement to main as in dragon flight. Any thoughts from other shamans? All of the above. I am learning enhance. Seems super complicated in its rotation. Using different abilities based on what procs. Play both early and figure out which you like. Shaman always gonna be trash it is a reality of this game. One class must be shaman and lose to everyone.

Elemental is a visual fireworks show, but done at range, not as high APM, and generally does well in PvP. There are two main things that make Enhance more fun for me. The first being the enhanced and instant heals, although you can only get 3 or 4 in a row before you start to run out of mana. The second is having a mix of ranged and melee abilities. Being able to stick and move in melee vs other melee, and then also being able to fall back and kite or start off a fight from range is nice. I prefer ranged over melee. Elemental requires less movement and less visual effects blinding the screen. Plus dropping chain lighting overloads and dropping multiple earthquakes feels great in AoE. Melee is a bit more cause of the clustering and movement to keep up with tanks who like to kite. Because of this in melee range you will take more damage but can use your procs to trigger instant heals on yourself.

The end-game playstyle of Enhancement looks very different from the one you use to level due to the longer form of combat in the encounters you experience. It was pretty fun until there was a lot of things to remember. Show more. Your account age says you was here but seems you forgot about that time i guess. If every class arround you gets buffed your class effectively gets worse and there already was very little reason to bring an ele shaman.

Don't announce it in guild chat or during a raid. Alternately we could have some kind of boon of the elements which just gives a random raid buff from the pool so you can fill any missing slots. Usually you'll do better at whatever spec you enjoy the most. We are not interested in you if you fit the following criteria: You roll on BoE items then sell them. Originally Posted by Krellian. Enhancement is the spec I stick with because of its utility and healing flexibility.
