On the Sika Strength Podcast and YouTube channel , Eoin Murphy and Daire Fitzgerald give their refreshingly honest and entertaining take on strength training methods, performance strategies, sports psychology, and much more. Eoin is an olympic weightlifter who started training at age 18 in his cattle shed. He went on to compete at European Championships multiple times as both a junior and senior and is a multiple time national record holder. Daire is a Weightlifting Coach who transitioned into weightlifting after a severe rugby injury. From his early foundations of weightlifting for sports performance through to postgraduate studies in exercise science and sport psychology Daire has established himself as a respected coach in the sport. As co-hosts, Eoin and Daire have a hard-to-replicate dynamic behind the mics, where their friendship shines through in every piece of content they create.

We pride ourselves on our tried and tested approach to Strength Training, through challenging but always achievable progressive overload. Each block leads on from the previous block and aims to bring on the Squat, Bench and Deadlift through the use of both the competition lifts and the auxiliary lifts. An often overlooked area of Powerlifting programs is their attention to Accessory Lifts, our program includes these exercises at the end of each session and will work to combat muscular-imbalances, postural weakness and hypertrophy of essential muscle groups. I have been following the Sika Strength powerlifting blocks alongside others for two years now, and can easily say that they have been the best coaching experience I have ever taken in my life. Before that I was a regular gym-goer and tried out more fitness-based programs, then I discovered powerlifting and got completely hooked up, though I did not know how to structure a program efficiently. I feel I have definitely become a better athlete, not only interested in powerlifting but in strength in general.
