Hi, just about to fit a baumatic corner sink, the sealing mastic strip provided in the kit is not thick enough to seal between the sink and the worktop. The sink stands proud of the top of the worktop by about 8mm and the strip is only 2 or 3 mm thick so there is no way it can compress when the clips are tightened. Awful idea, just asking for trouble.

Carefully degrease the substrate using methylated spirits, acetone not suitable for plastics or ammonia. Place the exposed part of the strip on the joint and remove the protective film. Please note: Do not use benzine, white spirits or thinner to degrease. If the strip is somewhat stiff, it can be softened by preheating it. The face of the under side of the sink that you would expect to seal around the edge of the cut out is 8mm above the worktop as there is a lip of 8mm around the perimeter of the sink.
