Ski mask crochet pattern

In honor of this epic wind chill I've decided to do a roundup of 10 free balaclavas patterns!

The Crochet Child and Adult-sized Balaclavas have the same execution but different stitch counts to make it happen. There are two different patterns available. I'm not proper, so I would have called this a ski mask if I hadn't known better. I'm not sure I have ever heard the word Balaclava before, to be honest with you. The Balaclavas are crocheted from side to side, leaving an opening for the eyes to make winter more bearable. Grab your Red Heart Super Saver yarn and play with these two patterns.

I wish I had found this pattern last year. My son is an avid hunter and had asked if I could make him a wool balaclava to wear with his camo suit. I looked all over and couldnt find anything suitable. The issue is being able to pull the opening up or down as needed. This pattern will work perfectly.
