In this study, it is aimed to investigate the impact of teaching summary writing strategy on reading comprehension performance for a student who reads in braille and to reveal the student's views on the strategy and the teaching process. A case study research method which is one of the qualitative research designs was used to carry out this study. The participant of this study is a one -male student in the 4th grade special education classes whose age is 12 years and 3 months. In the research, evaluation sessions, teaching sessions and social validity data were carried out by the first author of the research. Reading comprehension tests were prepared for 3 selected texts which are used to determine the student's reading comprehension performance before and after the instruction. The research was carried out in the stages of pre-teaching assessment, preparation for teaching, modeling, guided practice, independent practice, and post-teaching assessment. As a result of the research, it was found that the student's reading comprehension pre-score before the instruction in the 1st test was 20, in the 2nd test was 15, and in the 3rd test was

Turkish History Education Journal. Oral history is one of these methods, which aim at including individual stories into history and social studies courses. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of oral history method at fourth grade level. Action research, a qualitative research design, was used as the design of the study. The participants of this study were composed of 10 fourth graders studying at Sulusaray district of Tokat province. Open-ended questions were used in order to take opinions of participants after the practice. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis. As a result of the study, it was found that oral history was regarded as interesting by participants and was described as a tool to be used in gaining communication skills and ability to perceive change and continuity.
