A Springlock suit is a special animatronic that can be used as both an animatronic and suit. In order to turn the animatronic into "suit mode", you will require a special crank which deactivates the metal gears and spiked edged which are layered around the inside of the suit. Due to this, the suit's endoskeleton expands, allowing a person to wear the endoskeleton like a suit, and thus wear the outer costume as well. However if the wearer is exposed to any moisture, the endoskeleton will reactivate and the gears will begin to start spinning again, violently bludgeoning the wearer to death in an instant. Springlocks are metal pieces and mechanisms on a endoskeleton that keep it attached to the suit or switch it the mode that allows humans to wear the suit. When allowing a human to wear it, a lever or switch is pulled somewhere on the suit. When done, the springlocks are triggered and automatically pull the endoskeleton back and move pieces to provide just enough room for the human. However, the springlocks on the endoskeleton can fail. This can be triggered with moisture or extreme physical trauma or movement. When this happens, a single springlock can trigger a failure or all of the springlocks can go off at once. Moisture can cause a springlock failure by making them damp and slippery, causing them to move out of place and triggering a failure. In a failure, the springlocks will switch back to endoskeleton position, pushing the endoskeleton forward with extreme force. The pieces that are moved to provide space revert to their original position, piercing the human within and crushing bones and organs. Maybe the Endos in Spring Lock suits are built differently, and have 'hollow' areas with pieces that move to fit around human limbs.
