The inspiration can be found not only on the runway but also on the streets. Acielle, founder of Style du Monde, is one of the biggest names in street style photography, however, she has also captured backstage photography for the likes of Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Raf Simons, Dries Van Noten, and many more. Through her unique perspective, Acielle is a Vogue. I took my first street style pictures in Being in Antwerp a lot I saw many students from the fashion academy with inspiring outfits. I felt the urge to share these looks with the world. From there I just took it further and further adding city after city and ended up shooting street style and backstage all over the world.

Bustling crowds, celebrity sightings, traffic-stopping outfits —it all disappeared when Fashion Week became near impossible last March. She estimates taking at least five COVID tests in the course of a week in order to travel between Belgium and Paris and attend certain shows. They were still practical clothes, but with some twists. I always appreciate that element of surprise. But [to find locals] you have to walk around and look for little surprises, or if you see a background you like, you have to wait for someone to come along. Now we call it street style and people know what that means, but back then, you had to give a bit more explanation [as to] why you wanted to take their picture.
