It's vibrant, tight knit, safe and overall a great suburb to live in. Subi was once a great suburb, but it has since changed into a dull lifeless place. Yet it is still very expensive. Subiaco is one of the reasons Perth is such a great city. It's vibrant but not overwhelming, has beautiful parks and gardens Lake Juilbup , some of the best dining and night life in Perth.
