Subnautica fish
Planet B is filled with many of Subnautica 's dangerous creatures that are ready to attack you, subnautica fish. After all, this ocean planet is their home, and you're the one intruding here and using their planet's resources for your own benefit.
Subnautica's Survival Mode requires you to maintain your health by eating food and drinking water. The best way to do this is by finding edible fish , which can be cooked and cured to your liking. There are 14 different varieties to choose from, and some are more nutritious than others. They can be found in several different biomes, and it is important to know which ones to look out for when you are far away from your base. It only takes about 50 minutes for you to starve to death in Subnautica, so make sure to always have a supply of fish on hand to prevent this tragedy.

This article contains unmarked spoilers. Players new to the game would want to avoid or be cautious toward this article. Fauna is the term for animals, in this case, the animals of Planet B. Fauna in Subnautica can be found all over the planet, from the mysterious depths of the Crystal Caves to the vibrant Safe Shallows , and the fiery pits of the Lava Lakes. Fauna on Planet B comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. Ranging from the tiny, cave-dwelling Rockgrub , to the colossal Sea Dragon Leviathan that spews molten minerals from its mouth. Fauna on Planet B is capable of enduring and adapting to various environments , although previously unable to thrive due to the presence of the Kharaa Bacterium. Certain species of small fauna can sometimes be seen forming mostly non-interactive shoals. Fauna on B also has yellow blood. The fact that the appearance of some species of the planet being similar to that of planet Earth species can be explained as a simple case of convergent evolution. The player can scan Fauna with the Handheld Scanner , the same as they would with Flora and objects, allowing them to view information about creatures in their PDA. In Subnautica additional scans after unlocking the Data Bank Entry for that particular species of Fauna alert the player as to whether or not the specimen is infected with Kharaa. As Kharaa has been eliminated from the wild in Below Zero this function is not present.
Very rarely, you'll see them swimming in the Safe Shallows.
I read a comment from a developer in another thread which I can't find now of course that they didn't want fish to re-spawn because they felt it would discourage exploration Personally I think that is silly, since bases are more likely to discourage exploration than anything However, keeping with that idea why not let them breed? The idea is that fish don't just 'respawn' but there has to be two of them of the same species in fairly close proximity to spawn fry. It would not only be more realistic, it would be too slow to be usable as a constant food source, and allow you to, over time, rebuild 'dead zones' with little effort for the player if you over fish you would have to transplant new parents. As an added mechanic you could have it so that certain areas are only hospitable to certain fish likely the fish that spawn there initially. So you can't transplant a spade fish to the starting zone because, reasons make one up, maybe the water is too warm or cold or acidic, trust me fish are very sensitive to water conditions. I think the possibility of overfishing an area is an interesting one but shouldn't be permanent and this would certainly fix that problem. The lifeless zones are a major hit to the beauty of this game and I see it as a major problem.
Based on an alien planet, Subnautica will have players trying to survive in an aquatic environment as they try to get off the planet they crashed on. Playing as the character known as Ryley Robinson, players will find themselves exploring several unusual biomes, eating fish, scanning material, and building bases as they try to progress through the game. The player is alone on the planet and this is only highlighted when the player begins discovering empty life pods scattered around the map. With the ocean being so large and foreboding, it is only natural to want some form of companionship. A friend.

Alien lifeforms may have unexpected applications. Utilizing alien resources is a proven survival strategy. The Bladderfish is a small, passive fauna species. It can be caught and is edible , mostly populating in the Safe Shallows and the Grand Reef. The Bladderfish stands out in comparison to other small fish, as it can be used to craft Filtered Water. Being slow and passive, Bladderfish are easy to catch, especially during night time, when they are next to immobile due to their diurnal properties. Eating a raw Bladderfish will restore fifteen points of Oxygen , which can save the player in certain situations. This only works in survival and hardcore modes.

I'm able to build and enjoy the program rather than just working my butt off trying to stay alive. Glow Whale. Cyclops Prawn Suit Seamoth. Fauna on Planet B comes in all shapes, sizes, and forms. They deal the same damage as Biters seven percent and only really attack when you're too close, so they're easier to deal with in comparison to their cousin.
