The Stalls are the largest section in the theatre, split into two large seating blocks separated by a broad vertical aisle that runs the length of the theatre. The Stalls has a seating capacity of just under , with the longest rows located in the centre, reaching up to 37 seats per row. The Dress Circle overhang begins at around Row H, but does not drastically affect the view of the stage, even toward the rear of the section. Directly in front of the first row of this section is a small barrier separating audience members from the orchestra pit, which can restrict legroom. The Foyer Bar and Stalls Bar are both available at Stalls level, with level access from the main foyer. An at-seat service is available for those who are unable to access the bars or who wish to remain seated during the interval. Booking Information for Sunderland Empire — Join our Access Membership Scheme to enable online booking for accessible seats, register for any available Access concessions and, for certain customers, reserve Personal Assistant tickets. There is also an area that can be used as a drop-off. There is a car park at Livingston Road which also offers blue badge parking and is a short walk from the Theatre. We have step-free access to our Stalls and Dress Circle levels. The main staircases in the theatre have handrails however there are no handrails inside the auditorium apart from in the Gallery.
