Should you stick with the Sybex 7th Edition? I'd go with the new one, sybex cissp, but sybex cissp shouldn't matter that much. If you want to be absolutely sure of covering all the topics, even the new ones like Internet of Things and Attribute-Based Access Control, then go for the 8th Edition.

I'm preparing for the CISSP exam, and I have access to the free testbank that come with the above mentioned book, there are questions. Can I trust the assessment on my proficiency, just by doing this lot of questions? It's a good indication of how you're doing knowledge wise - but in honesty I would say it's not a great indication of the types of questions you'll face in the exam. Others may have other opinions.
