Later on, Price discovered Zakhaev had been using the subway tunnels beneath the city to move around undetected alongside supplies, though the subway system itself had been deactivated. In a joint effort between Nikolai and Farah Karim , the two were able to reactivate the subway system throughout the city and continued their search for Zakhaev. In December, the team, which Farah and Nikolai were now members of, along with Marcus Griggs ' Demon Dogs , assaulted the Bunker 10 missile silo to find Zakhaev, who was preparing to launch a dormant nuclear warhead.
