Bosses are specialized, highly aggressive enemies that can be fought via summons, player-environment interactions, or specific events in Terraria. Bosses are usually identifiable by the large health bar that appears at the bottom of the screen, or, barring that, the onscreen prompt alerting you to the fact that the Boss has been summoned.
