He has been on more documented Adventures than any other incarnation of Link. This makes him the most experienced Hero of them all. He also has had a very big arsenal filled with all kinds of items. Ranging from series favourites like the hookshot and bow and arrow to more unique items like the magnetic glove and power medallions. I find he is often underappreciated though I don't get why.

The Legend of Zelda is one of the most popular video game franchises in existence, approaching 30 total titles with the May release of Tears of the Kingdom. Since its inception in , the franchise has been driven forward by Link and the titular Zelda, as the two main characters. However, Link and Zelda are by no means the only heroes of the series. There are many other Legend of Zelda characters with good in them, whether they have their own storylines going on or they play an active part in Link's. The best heroes can have their own problems of identity and resolve, but still ultimately come good in the end, rising up against the various forces of evil present throughout The Legend of Zelda. Regardless of overall opinions, Navi is an iconic character in The Legend of Zelda. Navi's usefulness in helping Link with targeting and other functions is undeniable, and her absence is felt during the battle against Ganondorf. Navi's help can be relentless and irritating , but her presence is felt either way. In fact, Ocarina of Time would certainly have less charm and energy without her. Skyward Sword 's Fi is a divisive character within the Legend of Zelda franchise, but drawing any kind of strong response can be effective in its own way. Fi is the spirit that resides within the Goddess Sword, which is later tempered into the Master Sword. Similarly to Navi, Fi is a helpful companion but can interrupt proceedings too often for the liking of most players.

Each version of this iconic character has possessed unique skills and tools from others, making every Link different from the rest. Some Links are definitely stronger than others, with factors such as weapons, tools, and even the enemies each Link faces being taken into account when deciding the strongest version of the character. The Hyrule Warriors games are unlike any other Zelda entry due to their hack-and-slash gameplay, which makes for some interesting versions of Link and his sword mastery. In this adventure, Link is tasked with defeating the evil mage Vaati, who has escaped from his entrapment in the 'Four Sword. The four heroes do manage to seal Vaati back in the Four Sword, but he eventually finds his way out of the seal anyway. They also have a limited move set, with only the typical bombs, bow, and boomerang appearing among other series staples. The New Hero of Hyrule has a fairly simple adventure for Link's standards, although his ability to blend into walls is a pretty cool addition to Link's move set. He does manage to take down both Ganon and Yuga, as well as saving both Hyrule and Lorule, but the character itself just isn't very powerful compared to others. He does reappear in Tri-Force Heroes, defeating the evil witch Maud.
