Marvellous food with paired wines from the tasting menu is a fantastic experience. Both of us loved the menus and wines and the way the wine changes taste when you have the food of that course , and look forward to coming back. I really like I would recommend the tasting menu as a 1st time visit to the restaurant, it is a little more expensive but totally worth it , this will allow you to sample the style of the place. Then on your next visit I'm already looking forward to returning eat from the main menu that's my plan anyway! Our third trip on New Years eve to the Pony and Trap and things were a little quieter this time. We were placed on a better table this year which meant we did not find it restrictive and the staff who I did not recognise We did request a menu before hand but some of the choices I wanted were removed from the menu on the day which was a little upsetting. I did have the starters which was the Mackerel parfait with chorizo and Roe.
