The Telltale Walking Dead series ignited a new and exciting genre for video games, it was one that favored impressive cinematic cut scenes , tough choices, and emotional moments throughout each season. So, with four seasons to explore it would be idealistic to assume they were all as good as each other. While choosing the best and the worst season is a challenge, they are predominantly opinion-based, and all depend on the experience the player had while exploring each episode. That being said, some seasons definitely outshone the rest, and others we're just disappointing. As such, it's undeniable that some were better than others. Season three was easily the most disappointing of the four. It just seemed to miss the majority of the storylines and failed to impress fans after the success of seasons one and two. That isn't to say it didn't have its good parts, focusing more on the deaths of some beloved characters and almost acting solely to tie up loose ends before the final season. That was where it really lost its way. The season itself felt like a chore, even though the episodes were incredibly short, forcing players out of the story before they ever truly got into it. The majority of the story could have been fit into a flashback in season four and just lacked any sort of heart or emotions. The main lack of emotions was brought about through the choices. They weren't particularly challenging or emotional due to the fact that most of them were forcing the player to choose between characters they've only just met or ones they know and love. Unfortunately, it just felt like a waste of a season overall.
