These light-hearted depictions are ingrained in the Mexican visual culture, which celebrates death as an ever-present, not as something ominous but rather as a mundane fact. I see The Zombie Pizza as a tribute to the extravagant eighties body horror films, in tune with the Mexican way of transforming the mysteries of death into a colourful joke. The Zombies are an English rock band formed in St Albans in Argent wanted to form a band and initially asked his elder cousin Jim Rodford to join as a bassist. Rodford was in a successful local band, the Bluetones, at the time and so declined, but he offered to help Argent. Rodford would later join in when the band reformed.
