The best comedy in my opinion is unfiltered, blatantly honest comedy. The way Theo talks, whether it's the southern accent or just his mannerisms but likely a combination of these, adds to his unique character and humor. He's quickly become a new favorite comedian. I'm a big fan of Theo Von's appearances on podcasts and his more natural comedy, but his standup can leave a lot to be desired. Following the trend of offensive comedy that has been succesful for a lot of other standups, Theo lacks the finesse to actually pull it off. His lack of filter makes him one of the funniest guys to watch ramble, but when it's mixed in with his pre-written show plan, it can feel very disjointed. While there are a couple of funny moments, some of it is really cringey, and that's not because I have an issue with offensive comedy.
