We are two friends, Bryan and Michael, who travel in search of abandoned buildings to explore and photograph. We film our adventures to share with the world. Not a very interesting place by the standards of some of the places we would explore in the coming years, but at the time it was a captivating experience for us. We realized that abandoned places exist in a world isolated from the daily lives of most everyone, only to be experienced by the few who see the merit in taking the risk to enter them. What is that merit exactly?

The Proper People is a duo of YouTubers , Bryan and Michael, who film and photograph abandoned areas as part of various urban exploration ventures. Nothing Is Scarier : During one exploration, the duo start to hear footsteps above them. A little unnerving, but they figure it's just scrappers and begin to be more cautious.

Bryan: Michael and I met in grade school. We just wanted something that would be catchy and memorable. AdamTheWoo was one of the few creators who filmed abandoned places around their personality, and we felt that was a much better approach. Some may even outlast us. It was completely decontaminated so it was safe to explore—we even had a Geiger counter with us to confirm that. We grew up in the same town, just down the street from each other. This was probably as a result of the several YouTube videos that surfaced of people like us going inside, which goes back to what I was saying earlier about us having to be thoughtful about what we post now that we have such a large audience. So unfortunately we have to say no to these requests. It's only when they find an abandoned wallet full of recent documents and cards that they decide to explore another nearby building for a while.
