Although we understand that most motorcyclists simply wish to ride and not get involved with the politics and committees, we offer you the chance to let us speak on your behalf to the government and authorities, to stand up for your rights so that you can go about your riding the way you want, but we need you to stand with us when it counts, as a united front. Introduced in , our major fundraising event is our annual Awareness Ride, to highlight to the public the need to be more aware of motorcycle riders on the roads. We assemble to ride in convoy on a green light corridor through Launceston CBD to a venue featuring live music, food and drink, show and shine competition, raffle prizes and merchandise. Funds raised through this event are donated to a chosen local charity.

Bring some toys and make some donations to a worthy cause. Join fellow members for some rides and a couple of nights in Hobart. NW riders meet at the HMC at 8 bells. Stands up at 8. Meet North riders at Cressy Bakery at 10am for coffee. Head to Hobart via the East Coast with a stop at Orford. A few of us are staying at the Tower Motel in New Town. Phone reception on to book. Ride home via the lakes with brunch at Bothwell. We will be leaving the Tower in taxis at 6pm for anyone who wants to. There is also a pre-ride with them Saturday for anyone keen. Southbound lanes of the highway will be temporarily closed from MyState Arena in Glenorchy, through to Macquarie Point for around two and a half hours from pm to allow riders to safely make their way into the city. Spectators are once again expected to line the route and are asked to stay off the road while maintaining a safe distance between bikes, with high-fiving of riders discouraged. MRA South say the arena gates will open at 12pm for riders to register and participate, provided they hold a current licence and bring a roadworthy bike.
