Toyota hilux automatic transmission problems

The Toyota hillux surf automatic transmission stopped moving after emergency brakes heard some noise , the front wheels locked, they cannot rotate or turn, a mechanic opened the gearbox from under the car, and in the oil he found the attached springs, then he concluded that the gearbox has spoilt. If the former is the case then maybe it can be adjusted out. I don't think I should have to shift to d4 during my daily driving. View All.
