Remember he can only be fed when Chain bolad. See video down below:. In the video I tame a level Tropeognathus in less then 5 minutes!

There is no way these things have longer feeding intervals than Tusoteuthis, this is ridiculous, especially considering the cost and amount of chain bolas you need to feed this thing. I could literally get in one feeding the entire time, how is that justified over twenty minutes? Who knows how long this would have taken because I killed it when I ran out of bolas. Save your time and materials, because this is ridiculous. I had it trapped for half a second, but it got stuck on the gate and I had to open the trap and it escaped. I have no idea though because it only took one feeding the entire twenty minutes. Not sure if this is the case but sounds similar. Moving away quicker like with a Ptera or something? It looks like your quetz might be able to tank some shots as you run away for a min or two. But yeah looks bugged to me either way. I think it was aggroing on me for the most part. Not sure if you can time it but yeah passive first feeding has screwed me out of at least a megachelon similar but different from parakeet fish issues , two gigapithicus, and a host of others in last six months. Another survival game I play introduced cross platform play today and its not working out for them as well albeit it works, just not as smooth. I love the formula of this game, I hate the devs behavior.

These large wings are not only ideal for catching air currents over its ocean hunting grounds, but they also let Tropeognathus draft off of other flying creatures by flying behind them. While not the fastest flyer on the Isles, when combined with its remarkable stamina, this makes Tropeognathus well suited for long distance flight. I've noticed the more clever tribespeople using chain bolas to capture them while airborne. Once tamed, Tropeognathus has proven quite useful to the people of the Isles beyond mere transportation. For example, its toothed beak can grind down many common goods to their base components, which is a great way to recycle items and gear! Well, so long as you have a rag handy to wipe off the spit

A brand new dinosaur called Tropeognathus has just arrived in Ark: Survival Evolved , and indeed many players will certainly want to tame one. Before they can do that, though, they must first find a Tropeognathus in Ark , and that may be easier said than done. Indeed, this new flying creature appears to be quite an elusive beast, and this guide looks to assist those fans that are currently trying to track down a Tropeognathus in this popular survival game. To start, the Tropeognathus's location in Ark: Survival Evolved is currently not the same on PC as it is on consoles, and players will thus need to hunt with their particular platform in mind. Specifically, fans playing on PC will need to look exclusively to the new Crystal Isles map when trying to track down this dinosaur, and those playing on consoles can find one on any map where flying creatures can appear. Notably, this will change when Crystal Isles is available on consoles later this year. With that said, PC players should turn their attention to the coastal areas of the Crystal Isles when searching for a Tropeognathus, and looking around 80 lat 20 lon , 60 lat 60 lon , and 80 lat 80 lon is recommended. Console players should also have their eyes on the coast, though they will be hunting on the Island, Center, Scorched Earth, Ragnarok, Extinction, and Valguero maps, and it is worth mentioning that Tropeognathus appears to spawn in the exact same locations as Tapejara. To note, even after Ark: Survival Evolved players know the details on Tropeognathus's locations, it can still be quite challenging to find one. With Ark: Survival Evolved currently free on the Epic Games Store , many new players are sure to be trying out this title for the very first time.

Tropeognathus does not show any signs of aggression towards anyone and anything that comes near it, especially when it lands. It can act as a portable Industrial Grinder ; when grind-able products are placed inside, there is an option to grind them down below "Show Ancestry" when selected, albeit at a slower pace than the grinder itself bugged on console version.

The Tropeognathus is one of the middle-sized flying creatures which was first seen when Crystal Isles was introduced. It is a carnivorous flyer that has a large wingspan and is capable of better maneuvers than most flyers in Ark. One of its best features is that it can be a scout and a combat flyer once players have tamed it and equipped it with a saddle.

The colored squares shown underneath each region's description are the colors that the Tropeognathus will randomly spawn with to provide an overall range of its natural color scheme.
