Why is it that nobody ever dies in this manga aside from Jiraiya or Neji? Neji and Chouji "died" in the Rescue Sasuke Arc but were revived, Kakashi died vs Pain and was revived, Pain revived the entire village, etc. Now Tsunade was going to "die" to save the other kages and there is an ass pull saving grace. Seriously what is with all these "death" cliffhangers if nobody ever actually dies?

This story is based of the Character Jei Ookami. He approached a guard asking for the whereabouts of the 5th Hokage. Seeing the intruder could be a spy or an Akatsuki member he ran to sound the village's alarm. Knowing that he couldn't get the information from the village guard the mysterious man proceeded to kill him. Later several Jonin discoverd the dead guard was mutilated beyond identification. Puzzled by who could have done such a thing they put out a red alert and all ANBU members were ordered to search the village for the culprit. Tsunade ordered the intruder to speak. Coldly laughing he stated that his name was Jei Ookami. She then asked him do you know the severity of your crime and stated that he would surely be executed. Again all Jei did was laugh, he told Tsunade that the guard was 1 of only many Leaf Village citizens that he hoped to slaughter. Jei proceeded to blame Tsunade's grandfather for the downfall of Kagegakure.

She is famed as the world's strongest kunoichi and its greatest medical-nin. The repeated loss of her loved ones caused Tsunade to later abandon the life of a shinobi for many years. Tsunade never died in Naruto, Naruto: Shippuden, or in the Boruto universe. She is very much alive as we find her attending the wedding of Naruto and Hinata. Even though she had multiple close to death situations and times when she literally went into a coma after Pain attacked the village, she did not die.
