Some may be surprised when their adorable and fluffy Pomeranian Puppy starts to lose its puppy fur and look nothing like the balls of fluff that Pomeranians are known for. Pomeranian Puppy Uglies is a natural shedding phase that occurs in Pomeranian puppies between four to eight months of age. The transition of the coat can cause the puppy to look patchy, scruffy, and less fluffy, which is why it is called Puppy Uglies. The Puppy Uglies phase can last from a few weeks to several months, depending on the individual puppy. The Puppy Uglies phase typically ends when the puppy is around ten to twelve months old, and they have grown their full adult coat. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid the Puppy Uglies phase.
