The socket is not easy to get to anyway ,as for seeing or checking each contact I'm not quite sure how to check each one. No problem I thought, used to using OBD interfaces with my other cars. It just needed the pin securing into place. Once it was pushed all the way in and secured it worked fine after that. First I thought was that it was not getting power, and the lights on the interface face downwards, due to the port being that way.
