The immobilizer has nothing to do with the ignition key lock. My guess is that the steering wheel is stuck off to the side and on the steering wheel lock. Since the key is in the ignition, turn it to ON and try to turn the steering wheel and see if it releases the key. Either that or I suspect the key cylinder just failed and is not letting the key out of the slot. Close the door and use the second key to lock the door! Basically you find hot wire for starter solenoid, cut it somewhere in the middle, install push button switch that uses relay so that only when the push button is depressed you can crank the engine with the key. I made the diagram for you this is how it works: 85 and 86 are relay coil, when push button is activated you will provide ground side for the coil which will create magnetic field and will switch contact between 87A not shown and 87 to 87 and So you are basically bridging the wire that you just cut with the relay contacts. Once the push button is released, coil is de -energized and the bridge will brake and return to 87 A and for the door problem it is going to be little harder but this could be one of the temporary solutions. Did you try moving steering wheel left and right about 5 degrees couple of times real quick while wiggling and at the same time pulling on the key?

If the key is beginning to wear, you may still be able to engage the pins needed to start the vehicle by inserting the key all the way, then pulling it back out slightly.
