The only solution is, of course, to build his own space ship, as he's heard that the moon is a very good source of cheese. Accompanied by his long-suffering pet dog Gromit, he sets off on an out-of-this-world escapade where they encounter a strange oven-shaped robot who has his own plans for their rocket… This is the adventure that first introduced Wallace and Gromit, winning the British Academy Award BAFTA for Best Animated Film in It was also nominated for an Oscar, only being beaten by director Nick Park's other nomination that year, Creature Comforts. Times are hard at 62 West Wallaby Street, so Wallace decides to take a lodger - but Gromit's suspicions are immediately aroused by the sinister penguin who answers his advert. While the feathered intruder starts to take his place in Wallace's affections, Gromit is determined to uncover the interloper's secret - one which involves Wallace's latest invention, the NASA-designed Techno Trousers, a rubber glove and a spectacular jewellery heist. Featuring brilliant slapstick, hair-raising tension and one of the most unforgettable climaxes every filmed, this classic comedy adventure was awarded the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, the first of three Oscars which Nick Park's world-renowned duo has received. Can he escape in time to stop the evil guard dog Preston from achieving his sinister ends? This fast-paced and hilarious adventure won another Academy Award for director Nick Park, and introduced one of the best-loved animated characters of all time, Shaun The Sheep, for good measure. Wallace and Gromit have opened a new bakery "Top Bun" and business is booming, not least because a deadly cereal killer has murdered all the other bakers in town.
