Index has this weird mechanic where you can win but still lose - the end screen still says "Victory" but if you don't win by a certain score you actually lose even when you have more points. This is already one of the worst things about Index when you're a new player. The Glast Gambit doesn't do this. First it introduces Index, and you win a mission just by scoring higher, which is confusing. But then you have one of the worst quest missions in the entire game: pay k a huge amount for a newer player at that point to enter 3 rounds of Index where if you get more than 10 points ahead you instantly lose. This is a major pain point, as you regularly kill more than 10 enemies and end up carrying so many points that if you touch the enemy goal you'll instantly lose the match. You can't drop the points without dying, and if an enemy picks up those points they'll wipe the timer and win instantly. You end up where the enemy is 1 or 2 points ahead as the timer runs out, but your teammate-spectres are running in circles and you're carrying more than 10 over and will instantly lose either way. You have 3 rounds like this, where if you're unlucky enough to pick up too many points you lose k and start again. After blowing over 1 million credits on this awful mission the first time I left this quest and forgot about it for 2 or 3 years.
This isn't unusual, warframe gambit, you get Chroma's BP before Ceres, but can't build him without a Saryn neuroptics from Sedna's boss. I am now, too, but wasn't then.
The Glast Gambit is an optional quest offered by Ergo Glast of The Perrin Sequence , which pits the Tenno against Nef Anyo 's schemes as they attempt to unearth the mysteries behind the people known as the Mycona Colony and the Infested. Completing this quest will reward the blueprint for the Nidus Warframe. Glast will relay to the Tenno the story of the Mycona Colony , whose inhabitants apparently thrive by harvesting material from the Infested. Nef Anyo however has taken not only the Mycona's resources, but also their children, with Glast showing the Tenno a recording from a child named Neewa , one of the kidnapped children. Before any rescue attempt can be made for the children however, Glast implores the Tenno to first defend the remaining Mycona colonists who are under siege from the Infested. If the player accepts the mission, they are prompted to set the quest as active in the Codex. Back on their Orbiter , Lotus expresses her skepticism at a colony surviving an Infested siege.

I let her decide. As Tenno,we know what it is like to have our choice taken away;I wasn't going to do to her what the Orokin did to us. Gotta respect that. It's like the perrin guy said, what right do we have deciding what's best for a completely different culture? Cured her.

You have 2 life. The amount of Financial Stress is directly proportional to the number of Index Points being held, which is displayed by the player's HUD to the upper right. Last edited by Donitsi ; 21 Apr, pm. As the Tenno arrive on an Infested Ship , Glast explains that Nef Anyo's actions have left the colony defenseless, and that three gateways have to be closed in order to secure the colony. You could probably do something similar with Atlas' walls. Posted July 16, Awestruck by the relic, Nef Anyo accepts the wager for another Index match. Unlike in previous matches, players must keep their score within the point Margin, e. Or add a hack element to get past Nef's cheats. Nope, not sure what your point is, something to do with rushing users being unable to advance and that being unsatisfying? As an MRish non-millionaire who played normal index and the Glast Gambit around the same time intermittently, I can only agree with everyone who is frustrated with this quest. It is a pain for rushing amatuer unsatisfying people, who won't be able to advance further in themselves. At least the First and Seventh mission are not counterintuitive. Normal Index: race against the clock to score not just more than the enemy but massively more than the enemy, you lose if the timer runs out.

As there is no way for the player to deposit Index points without dying during this mission, the mission will eventually end in defeat for the player after one round, with Nef Anyo proclaiming his victory over Glast. RenzorTheRed Posted July 15, Then the only users coming to it would be those who already know Index and that might find an Index-but-different quest fun instead of confusing. Fixed improper enemy scaling in the colony portion of The Glast Gambit. There is no winning. Unlike previous matches, players will not wager their own credits in the match, and will have the opportunity to regain , Credits , if they win. Showing 1 - 7 of 7 comments. Also, the wager of k to win k or whatever didn't make sense at all. You must challenge Nef on The Index and beat him at his own game.
