WCGHS offers meet and greet appointments for families who are interested in adopting! To help eliminate overcrowding and minimize pet stress, WCGHS has moved to appointment-based services for all adoptions. This allows staff to maintain a steady workflow, and provide exceptional customer service for adopters. All adoption appointments require an application to be completed and approved prior to being scheduled. On-site Meet and Greet Adoption Process This process includes a 30 minute on-site meet and greet appointment at the shelter.

In , pets were adopted and were fostered through the Humane Society. The Humane Society has 11 staff members, many of whom are cross-trained. That is not nearly enough people to care for all the animals, which is why volunteers are so important. Last year, 1, pets were spayed or neutered, 10, pounds of food were distributed to the community and 21 lost pets were reunited with their families.
