Great location, bright, dockside windlass restaurant. Unfortunately, in spite of the good food and service, the kitchen seem to be disorganized. Waited over an hour for a burger and wrap for lunch. My waitress was excellent and kept going into the kitchen to see what happened to our order, windlass restaurant.

My favorite local place to eat. The views are gorgeous, the decor inside is inviting, the food is yummy as are the drinks! It's not the cheapest place around, but to me it's worth the money!

The Windlass, a historic Lake Hopatcong restaurant, operates year-round and accepts reservations and walk-in guests. Parties of eight or more should always make reservations. During peak season we may ask guests who remain at their table for two hours or longer to leave their table to continue their experience at the bar, or at our cocktail gliders.
