May be based off of any beetle or a bit more uncommonly any sort of insect that has an exoskeleton. Exoscales cover their true wings like beetle Elytra, but when open their wings are a dragon like limb with transparent insect wings attached in place of wing membrane. The wings may have slight coloring or iridescence to them, and are more fragile than other tribes. Thicker and shorter tails with a bit of prehensile-ness to them, and exoscales cover the base of their tails, becoming scarcer near the tip. Shorter legs than other tribes, blunt talons with claws fit for digging or climbing. Average eyes, typically shades of green, silver, or gold, but can range to colors like blue or amber as well.
