Wok of love reviews
Many moons ago, when I was in college, I picked as many film courses as I was allowed, coz they were the coolest, and also, the funnest, and therefore, Wok of love reviews got to watch a whole lot of movies as part of my curriculum. Film really was the coolest and the funnest, heh. Especially when we got to the part on animation and sat around watching cartoons together. Kinda the same thing with this show, for me, methinks.

First off I have to admit I'm a serious fangirl of Junho, but even though I'm slightly biased, this was a very good show with lots of twists, turns, drama, laughter, food and just plain good fun. My only criticism is that they suddenly forgot the horse for about 10 episodes seriously one of the best characters and a few differing dishes would have been nice, but all in all it was a great show and i'll totally recommend it, even if you're not a JH fangirl like me.

Hello hello hello! Not me sneaking in one more review for September! It surprised me in a lot of ways and I was seriously debating on how to rate it at the end. Wok of Love is a K-Drama that you can either watch as 19 episodes of about an hour or 38 back-to-back episodes of about 30 minutes I watched it in the latter format on Dramacool. This in itself is already quite a unique number of episodes, as K-Dramas usually tend to be a bit shorter, like 16 one-hour episodes or 32 back-to-back episodes. He is thriving and therefore not aware that within one day, his whole life will be crumbling apart. In the meantime, we also meet Mr. Despite their initial aversion towards each other, Chil Seong agrees to put Poong in charge of the restaurant, while he goes about the business he personally has with Yong Seung Ryong. Her dad is suddenly arrested for committing fraud and her husband just vanishes after not even turning up at the wedding. I have to say from the start that it took me a couple of episodes to get into the story. It started off with a lot of information and rushed character introductions. The three main leads already meet each other in the first episode, but this was also kind of confusing to me. At this point, only Poong had been introduced in more detail, so for the other two it felt like a very hasty and random introduction, especially since they were supposedly main characters but we had no idea who they were yet. We only find out afterwards that Chil Seong is actually a gangster, for example.
I love the two male leads, most of the cast. This was a heartwarming journey that celebrates the power of resilience, friendship, and love.
It was one of the most anticipated Korean dramas of , a lot of people are excited about it because it includes a star-studded cast both main and supporting. Along with everybody else I had high expectations for this drama which might be one of the reasons why I am so torn right now. A part of me really likes the drama and the other part of me really hates it, a lot of Korean drama fans have given up on it after seeing the first couple of episodes and I cannot really blame them for that. A part of me thinks that this is a Hidden Gem and the other part of me thinks that this is one of the most disappointing Korean dramas of I have to start by saying that the main reason why I continued watching this drama had nothing to do with the script but has everything to do with the characters. The main reasons why I think the drama might have disappointed many Korean drama fan is the sloppy script, there were also moments in the drama where I really hated the editing. The problem or my problem is not with the characters themselves, but the way the plot develops and the way the characters are introduced and the really messy messy atmosphere we were thrown in.

For the record, I watched 11 episodes of this show before calling it quits. Also for the record, I actually struggled with my watch from the get-go. Right away in episode 1, I found myself not jiving very well at all, with what Show was serving up. See what I did there?

The love story was boring, as the two characters had no chemistry and not reason to be together. Also, looks like we feel very similarly about Sae Woo. Just brilliant in Carnivale. I stopped liking her very much at that point. My only criticism is that they suddenly forgot the horse for about 10 episodes seriously one of the best characters and a few differing dishes would have been nice, but all in all it was a great show and i'll totally recommend it, even if you're not a JH fangirl like me. It is off the wall, wacky humor and I think Jang Hyuk is super adorable in this. He is thriving and therefore not aware that within one day, his whole life will be crumbling apart. Click to jump to comments x. This was a heartwarming journey that celebrates the power of resilience, friendship, and love. The drama's unique setting, a struggling restaurant, provides a refreshing backdrop for the unfolding love story. So, most of all, I really liked the couple and their acting, the show got me inspired and I enjoyed the bromance so that's why it got an 8. This is one actor who doesn't appear in a drama unless the writing really appeals to him. Technical specs Edit. I had a lot of difficulty gauging what exactly she was feeling and she was also very ambiguous about her feelings, especially towards Poong and Chil Seong. The gangster fights are exciting.

More to explore. Lady G. He is so right. Poong approached him early on to strike a deal to be able to get revenge on those that had stabbed him in the back. Nothing else. This drama may not suitable for individuals with depression. Such an uncommonly intelligent film does not often get made. So, most of all, I really liked the couple and their acting, the show got me inspired and I enjoyed the bromance so that's why it got an 8. There are fiew exceptions but I can probably count those with one hand. I have to start by saying that the main reason why I continued watching this drama had nothing to do with the script but has everything to do with the characters. Spot your stuff, spot your room and spot your family member too! Some characters just disappear like they were never in the show and the last episodes are a bit too cringe to watch. It's sometimes a bit convoluted and I think the plot could have done with some more work but wow, Lee Jun Ho is fabulous in this!! I love all the Jang Hyuk action sequences! His eccentricity there was way more exaggerated, so I was wondering how far he would go in Wok of Love, but I actually really came to like his character because of how much he held back.
