Worlds strongest man

The World's Strongest Man is an international strongman competition held every year. The current event sponsor worlds strongest man SBD Apparel. The competition has been won by 24 men representing 13 nationalities. Its main rival is the Arnold Strongman Classic.

Defending champion Tom Stoltman placed second, and Oleksii Novikov placed third. Ragg and Schoonwinkel went on to make the final in their first WSM competition, with Ragg becoming the first New Zealander to qualify for the final since , before the introduction of the groups. Felix would be eliminated in the group stage, and Shaw went on to make the final in his last WSM. Rauno Heinla returned to WSM for the first time since , ultimately taking 3rd place in his group. Two-time runner-up Mateusz Kieliszkowski made a much anticipated return to WSM for the first time since , but disappointingly went out in the group stage for the first time in his career.

It took place in Bradenton , Florida between November 11 and Defending champion Martins Licis and two-time runner up Mateusz Kieliszkowski did not take part this year due to injury. There are five competitors per group. After four events, the competitor with the highest score qualifies for the final. The competitors in second and third place take part in the Stone Off , a run of loading 8 Atlas Stones, with the winner progressing. As part of the deadlift event, Novikov successfully performed a Mark Felix, by invitation, [2] attempted to set a World's Strongest Man record in the Hercules Hold, but did not succeed. With all of these finals being consecutive, he also broke his own record for consecutive finals.
