Was reading the "all motor yaris" post and read about the different vvti solenoid valves and maf sensors. The standard 1nzfe Solenoid valve turns vvti on at rpm but the RS solenoid turns it on at rpm The thread said it was confirmed by tuner on the dyno So being in nz I whipped out to the wreckers and took one off a 90k km crashed RS. New bits. Old vvti solenoid valve top versus RS bottom with extra hole. Car should be happy as after the ecu reset.
The VVT or variable valve timing is and always will be one of the most noted breakthroughs in the history of automotive innovation. In modern cars, VVT systems are used to improve performance and fuel economy by altering the valve lift event. This is what allows just the right amount of oil supply, this allows the engine to give great and fuel-efficient performance. It is a system that uses electronic technology to apply variable electronic systems through a variable valve timing solenoid. In case this VVT solenoid goes out of order, improper lubrication can cause a lot of damage and disruption to the gear and the timing chain. When this problem occurs with Variable Valve Timing Solenoid, many symptoms are bound to manifest this fault. Here are the symptoms that you must look out for to know that the VVT solenoid is failing or is not functioning well:.

Variable valve timing VVT solenoids are crucial components in modern engines that utilize variable valve timing technology. VVT solenoids are responsible for controlling the oil pressure flow to the VVT system's camshaft phasers, which allows the engine to adjust the timing of the intake and exhaust valves to optimize engine performance. VVT solenoids are typically located on the cylinder head or engine block, and are connected to the VVT system using oil passages. These solenoids are controlled by the engine's onboard computer, which sends signals to the solenoid to adjust the oil flow to the VVT system as needed. When the VVT solenoids are energized, they open a corresponding valve that allows oil to flow to the system, and when they are turned off, the valve closes to stop oil flow. The VVT solenoids on your vehicle can fail over time and in several ways, including clogging, oil leaks, electrical issues, and more.

Yes they are completly different units, the thai people do this to any 1nz-fe they hot up as a base upgrade, same with the C maf sensor and the coil packs from the RS also which are beefer apparently. Now this is how it works, So we are compltetly changing the oil flow to the vvti and the vvti unit is operated by oil pressure, so just looking at the viens and step down this would drastically increase the oil flow and you would think allow for great control of the timing??. Also yeah its more aggressive feeling from the moment you floor it, seems much nicer for cruising now but this could be the new axle back exhaust as well. Find More Posts by remcafee. Check out the hole in the end, beefer last slot and also how the oil flows around it, it has a step down to allow it. Something went wrong. It is a pity, that now I can not express - I am late for a meeting. But I will be released - I will necessarily write that I think on this question.
