Kia ora! This week's Episode Deck is one I've wanted to do for a while: Yugi's final deck for his duel against Atem to send him to the afterlife. After the defeat of Zorc, the time had come to send the Pharaoh to his final rest through defeating him in a duel. Despite knowing he would have to say goodbye to his closest friend, Yugi rose to the challenge and accepted the responsibility, ready to begin living his life without Atem. His ideas had been key to defeating Pegasus and Yami Marik, and he'd stood on his own against Yami Bakura, but a duel against Atem would be his greatest challenge. Although Yugi had several cards he and Atem had used over the years, he chose to use a new deck — the deck he'd used against Yami Bakura in the Memory World. Key to this deck were the Silent monsters that could level up their ATK and his most powerful monster which defeated Yami Bakura, Gandora the Dragon of Destruction , but in the end Yugi would defeat Atem with the strongest message he could send: negating Monster Reborn with Gold Sarcophagus to tell him the dead did not belong in the world of the living.

Most of his Normal Monsters have low ATK , but he supports them with Magic Cards such as " Horn of the Unicorn " to raise their strength, while also maximizing his more powerful monsters' potential through cards like " Burning Land " and " Makiu, the Magical Mist. The Deck also had " The Forbidden One " cards in it, which he used in the first episode to defeat Kaiba, but Weevil Underwood threw them overboard on the ship to Duelist Kingdom, and Joey Wheeler was only able to recover two of them, so Yugi abandoned Exodia. Both have have only been used when cooperating with Seto Kaiba and Joey Wheeler , respectively. His Deck also includes more control cards that allow him to manipulate an opponent's cards, such as " Change of Heart ", " Lightforce Sword " and " Mystical Refpanel ". He also included several cards he had formerly used in Duelist Kingdom, but not in Battle City. He also makes use of his " The Eye of Timaeus " card he received in order to defeat Dartz, by fusing it with his Magicians in order to Summon powerful Fusions.

Yugi originally uses the Deck built by his grandfather, Solomon Muto in a rematch against Seto Kaiba. Solomon had previously added his prized card, " Blue-Eyes White Dragon " into the Deck for the Duel, but it was subsequently destroyed by Kaiba upon Solomon's defeat. Yugi inherited the Deck and subsequently built his own, containing many of the staple cards collected by Solomon. Yugi used this Deck against Pegasus, and brought it to compete in Duelist Kingdom , however the Deck was radically altered again once the pieces of Exodia were lost by Weevil Underwood.
