I was skeptical at first by the bad reviews, but this is Syfy doing what it does best. Cheap, good, pointless, meaningless fun. I was like "Guy from Lost! There's no frowdy-dowdy old woman, no rambling kindly farmer grandad with six semi-suicidal daughters. None of all that baggage. Everybody's in the now. There are people like "girl with spiked baseball bat", "old meth dealer", "emo-looking sniper boy", "Jon Hamm looking vagrant-convict-zombie-zombie cure".

I think all the bad ratings are from die hard TWD fans who actually think that show is still good, and simply don't get the z nation review value of the gaps and humor add that make this far superior.

Z Nation is fun zombie fiction. It never hits the dramatic highs of its competition but it manages to have a lot more fun with a concept that is inherently ridiculous to begin with. By Tim Goodman. Z Nation has the normal zombie premise: There was a viral outbreak and the world as we know it was overrun by crazed flesh-eating dead people. At least in Z Nation , like the film 28 Days Later , the zombies can run instead of stumble along, which heightens the action quite a bit — some of The Running Dead are pretty damned fast. The series picks up three years after the virus has undermined communication networks, destabilized the government and any working order, and left every man and woman to fend for themselves. Except that Lt. Mark Hammond Harrold Perrineau Jr. Simple enough — as most zombie stories are. Getting from one coast to the next is also a nice bit, since it will take forever and mean lots and lots of action.

Action Comedy Drama. Run for your Life! Humour that bites hard. They also talk about drugs and meth. Too much swearing. My favorite alltime scene was when the cheese wheel of zombies came rolling through town. Almost non-stop action is what propels the show and a new "smart zombie" spin is whats going to keep me watching. One night I watched this show and after a while I actually began to like it.
