One change that could give people more a reason to not die, is giving people less skill points each time they die. The first character the one made when creating a world should have the default amount of 8 skill points.

Author: WobbyChip. File size: On Steam Workshop. This mod lets you keep almost everything upon death and respawn at spawnpoint. This mod also saves traits, proffesion, skills, xp, nutrition, fitness, read books, vhs tapes, cd disks, recipes, player model, moodles, killed zombies. Spawnpoint can be set at any TV. Issue 1: If player leaves while in death screen everything will be lost. Issue 2: [Hopefully fixed] Sometimes items equiped in primary or secondary slots will drop upon death and not be saved. Issue 3: [Hopefully fixed] Items in belts are not restored after death. Issue 4: MP If a server restarts after respawning everything will be lost. This is due to how badly this game is coded and developers just forgot about sending player data to the server on new player creation. If mod is not working or loading, then just try disabling all other mods and checking again. If it works then there is some conflicting mods.

I know my question is a bit lame and what I'm about to ask takes the fun out of the game but I still want to know, is there any way to keep our skills after death?

If you're hosting multiplayer , you have admin power and can give yourself skill point. You can also avoid dying if you're infected by making yourself invicible, then switching back to normal it'll heal all your wound and also reset your nutrition. I agree with noctoskanan, though sometimes it can be justified
Zomboid keep skills on death
In Project Zomboid, death is not the end of your game. There are ways to mitigate the effects of dying and keep your items. One of the most popular ways to do this is through the use of mods. With this mod, you will not lose your items or skills when you die. You can also right-click on a bed to set your spawn point. However, there is a known bug where quitting the game immediately after death can cause your items to disappear. To avoid this, please create another character or log out before exiting the game.

I agree, these are my thoughts about it:. Unless you are talking about MP and thats a whole new monster that no matter what you do, its never going to work and please the community. Last edited by BDZ ; 26 Apr, am. Bad idea for people with not good connection and for unstable servers. So if your char with traits starts at say 2 long blunt, you wouldn't go below that, but if you had skill 5 when you died, you respawn with skill 4. This is due to how badly this game is coded and developers just forgot about sending player data to the server on new player creation. Is there a degree of metagaming included purposely for the sake of community challenges? If you like this project, you can help us to improve it. This would give players a very good reason to try to survive whatever is thrown at them and to keep pushing on, rather than just looking for some bleach because they fell off of the second floor. All players of SpiffoSpace Russia faced with that - admins provided such feature for short time. I was faced with that. And there is nothing you can do to stop them, putting penalties for dying means that legit players get shit on while the players that might die but they have a back up will never suffer from it. E when you've got a dog to grow attached to, although maybe not - imagine dying and coming back to your house only to find out your dog is now hostile and feral towards you, because you're no longer "you" anymore.
However, the true question is, what do you do when you die? Do you lose everything and start anew? Does it depend on how you die?
Unghin Posted September 11, Wait what. I know my question is a bit lame and what I'm about to ask takes the fun out of the game but I still want to know, is there any way to keep our skills after death? I tend to survive long enough to the point where I get bored and just stop playing for a few months. You need to be a member in order to leave a comment. It agree, it is an amusing phrase
