I've got a sweet smell coming into the car whenever the engine becomes warm. Pretty sure I see a filmy residue on the windshield. My guess is that it's a coolant leak. I bought a pressure tester kit and hooked it up to the radiator. I pumped it up to 10PSI. I know the system can handle 18PSI, but I didn't want to run the risk of damaging the cooling system. After letting it sit for minutes, I didn't see any leaks underneath the vehicle. I pulled up the passenger side carpet to check to see if it was a heater core issue. Sure enough, there appears to be a red stain on the foam padding underneath the carpet. But the odd thing is that it wasn't wet. When the vehicle was sold to me, the vent shown in the picture was blocked with a piece of plastic Maybe intentionally to hide the coolant smell?
