For one, Robbie no longer calls this offshoot lab his home, as he works out of Lookout Landing and Hateno Village now. Perhaps Robbie's absence led to a group of new inhabitants taking over — inhabitants who guard two nifty rewards players can pick up here. The Akkala Ancient Tech Lab used to be where players could purchase Guardian and Ancient Tech-related goods, but now, it's in a bit of a shambles. Robbie doesn't work here anymore, but after getting the Sensor upgrade in Hateno Village Research Lab, he can send Link up north to the Akkala lab for another upgrade to the Purah Pad: the Traveler Medallion. The Traveler Medallion is a powerful upgrade that lets Link instantly teleport back to a set point in the world. It's useful for traversing the vertical world of Hyrule, like in the Sky Islands in case Link falls off, but that's not the only thing worth picking up here.
Akkala ancient tech lab location
One of the locations that pop up again and again throughout The Legend of Zelda games is the humble laboratory. While this lab may seem quite a way off the beaten track, visiting it is part of the main quest, and en route, there are some excellent areas to explore, including the fabulous Tarrey Town and the haunting Citadel Ruins. Unlike the Hateno Ancient Tech lab, which looks like a strong gust of wind would blow it off the precipice at any moment, the Akkala Lab appears a much more squat building on the flat top of the rolling Akkala hillside. The trees here are autumnal, with vibrant orange leaves, but the grass is as thick and green as the summer. This is a windy spot. Rainy too. The clouds come on thick and fast, stubbornly lingering for most of the day. This patched-up ruin has a large windmill sail on its rear side that catches the sea air all day without pausing, but this was not a windmill in its former life. The lens is visible through the broken glass, and the whole thing is mostly intact. The fact that this was a lighthouse at one point in history leads me to many questions, none of which I can answer. Why here? Was there a port? Were there ships sailing these waters frequently enough to need light? Were they coming from Hyrule or to Hyrule? I have no idea.
Go inside and talk to Robbie again.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild , players will have to venture into some dangerous situations in order to complete shrines, puzzles, and upgrade all the Breath of the Wild armor sets. Deep in Akkala territory, there is a tech lab that players will want to unlock, but it can be difficult to get there, much less light the furnace and get the lab up and running again. As Link approaches the door of the Tech lab, it's pretty plain that, like the Tech lab in Hateno Village , that the furnace is no longer lit. That means the lab is no longer functioning, and players will not be able to purchase anything from the location without first getting the fire going again. Unlike its Hateno counterpart, the path to find the blue flame is not simple or straightforward. In fact, the blue flame needed to relight the Akkala furnace is very far away and filled to the brim with dangerous Breath of the Wild enemies like Moblins and decayed guardians.
