Prime location looks fabulous, the Anglers Tavern stands imperiously alongside the mighty Maribyrnong river and covers a vast area. Downstairs, all new and modern with glistening polished timber aplenty, has two main areas- bistro and TAB no pokies with a wonderful bar servicing both areas. Grab a seat alongside the window when dining and enjoy the serenity of the river. The pub triumphs at the rear with its massive and new beer garden and maximises the views. Plenty of space, smart and comfortable, the time spent there will evaporate. On weekends the pub really goes into overdrive attracting people from near and far. Pricing is about right. Beer runs a familiar line of Carlton products but in an area so large, the draught from the tap 5. The resurgent late Summer that Melbourne is enjoying gives that extra reason to go to a pub and enjoy the rays before the chill kicks in. And while the Maribyrnong may lack the cachet that views of the Bay may offer, it is extremely pleasant to go and enjoy that moment by the water with friends whilst relaxing and sharing good times over a drink and meal. The set up inside but moreover out that the Anglers has invested in, is paying dividends. The modern look is great and even though it is years since the last visit, everything seems to work well to give you a bang for your leisure dollar.

Superporn

Prices are now in the mid thirties for a decent mains. Some of the patrons weren't the type of people I'd enjoy going out with, but that will change night to night! Nice setting Lots of air circulating and many spaces for seating. Food is good and has a nice outdoor area for the summer. Food was good and reasonably priced. Definitely a lot of bang for my buck. Busy but good atmosphere. Great vibe, atmosphere and delicious foods. Tried to book a table for 2 by phone for lunch to celebrate a birthday but was told to just show up. It was really busy on Sunday and the meals were served promptly, party of 18 were happy with the meal quality and quick service Had a nice dining experience tonight. We had the Atlantic salmon.

I always come here with my family and friends. We love their food. I noticed they have a new menu, which is a great selection.

Great food, friendly staff awesomeness atmosphere the food came out super quick it was great, the only thing is the kids play area, it's not really a kids play area unless Ur 15, there's 8 game machines and one that's free at least you could have some tables for kids to do a colour in or something for kids to play on. Really nice family friendly venue. Came here looking to rent a function room for a small wedding reception. View all the reviews. If the line up for ordering meals was switched to order and pay at tables, via portable credit card facility, moving around and space would be improved. Food could be a little better. Had a few beers outside with mates. Good range of beers on tap and generally friendly staff. Suffers a bit from its success staff do their best to keep up with the crowds expect pub meals and you wint be disappointed. Had the best ever Senior's Meal. Quick service with pleasant staff.
