Spaces are close to each other but there are shade structures in between which makes it even closer. Pretty much everything wasnt nice about this place, but its 7 minutes from Carlsbad caverns. If you need a place to stay and want to see Carlsbad you can tough it out. Long story short we wanted to boondock in the numerous areas near the caverns but needed an electric hookup so settled for this. Great location obviously just a 10 minute ride to the Caverns. But just not worth the price at all. Nothing special here just some worn down picnic tables and a little….

The park and staff were great. We have a class A and it was hard to find a pull through site that was level enough for us. The AA site is on a very steep grade for auto leveling motorhome. If you h Tip for Other Campers: If you have a 40 foot class A, ask for a site that is level. Also pulling out of the pull through sites when exiting involves a very sharp turn. This park is conveniently located to view the Tidal Bore downtown and Hopewell Rocks, about 40 minutes away. The park is tucked back from the highway, keeping things nice and quiet. The grounds are This is a newer campground next to the highway but wasn't too noisy. Campsites are just in a open field but were gravel and level. Trees were recently planted so there was no shade. Bathrooms were cle The office people were nice but not very attentive. They did not give me any paperwork when we came in.
