Cullen rutherford
I love this.
Shy, unsure of himself and haunted by events from his past, Cullen Rutherford remains a powerful force within BioWare's Dragon Age franchise. Originally introduced in Dragon Age: Origins , Cullen was a templar at Kinloch Hold when Uldred and his fellow mages unleashed demons upon the Ferelden Circle of Magi, and he never quite recovered from those events. After being transferred to the Kirkwall Circle of Magi in hopes of a fresh start after the Blight, the things Cullen saw and endured in Kirkwall left a bad taste for templar life in his mouth. He stepped away from his role to join the Inquisition. Cullen decided at a very young age that he wanted to become a templar to help people.

Advisors Cullen Rutherford Cullen in Inquisition. Cullen in Origins. I hope your compassion hasn't doomed us all. A young Templar at the Circle tower, Cullen harbors a long-standing infatuation with the female Mage PC, despite knowing of the impossibility of this sentiment. In Inquisition , Cullen leaves the Templars and joins the Inquisitor's team as military advisor after Cassandra notices the role he played in keeping Kirkwall together. Subverted horribly when he proclaims that he no longer cares that she knows, because the massacre had turned all mages into possible monsters in his eyes. Dragon Age II shows part of him does still care. Break the Cutie : Cullen in the Mage Origin is friendly and has pleasant manners; he's only in his late teens and still boyishly shy. Then the Circle arc happens and he's subjected to circumstances which leave him horribly traumatized. It's especially pronounced if your character is a female mage, since the whole thing pretty much pulverizes the crush he'd been nursing on her up to that point. By "No", I Mean "Yes" : Tells the female mage Warden that she's 'not' distracting him from his duties when she certainly is. Cannot Spit It Out : While he's strongly infatuated with the female mage and keeps stuttering around her, his occupation forbids him from even thinking about telling her about it. Cowboy Cop : His recommendation for dealing with the blood mages?

Dragon Age: Inquisition released in and introduced players to an incredible open-world, brilliant new characters, a plot filled with twists and turns, and more. Fans of the Dragon Age franchise are waiting in anticipation for the next installment, Dragon Age 4 , and in the mean-time, many are replaying their old favorites to get their Thedas fix. One of the main story characters of Inquisition is Cullen Rutherford, Commander of the Inquisition, one of three advisors to the Inquisitor and a possible love interest too. While players might have spent their fair amount of time with the dashing commander in the game, there may be a thing or two about him that they weren't aware of. Even if they've played the entire Dragon Age series , many fans are surprised to hear that Inquisition wasn't the first game that Cullen appeared in.
I love this. You touch so much on what I did, with far less cursing and your absolute beautiful way with words. Cullen is such a tragic story, all of him. Thank you so much for that it's high praise , and for checking it out, Jessi! I agree that Cullen's a really gorgeous and complex character, and I really think DAI is a terrific conclusion to his arc and growth across the trilogy. He actually turns on Meredith without prompting because she wants to murder them because they might be blood mages where did we see that line before? And that always strikes me as the Cullen who chooses to leave the Templars when Cassandra shows up. Emma, this is a terrific point, and a dialogue I've actually never seen before!

Dragon Age 4 is one of the most hyped games that won't come out for a long time much like the next Elder Scrolls entry. While fans can get by with rumors of a Mass Effect trilogy remaster, many are left to theory craft about previous characters. This isn't limited to what the plot of the next game might be or who the player character might be. Rather, fans are looking toward people and pieces from previous games that have gaps of information to fill. One such character, both beloved and despised by fans, is Cullen Rutherford. A native of Honnleath in Ferelden, he knew he wanted to be a Templar from age eight. That led him to eventually join the Inquisition at the behest of Seeker Cassandra Pentaghast. White Spire is the fabled headquarters for Thedas' Templar Order.

Get cocky, and she'll take your clothes as a bonus. Many fans take this to be a reference to Garrus Vakarian from Bioware's Mass Effect series, as Garrus is known for spending too much time calibrating the guns aboard the Normandy, so much so that it has become a running joke. A stern but compassionate templar, at times, it's clear he felt for the mages enduring the strain of Kirkwall's Circle. Even in the multiplayer mode, Commander Cullen is referenced, with the rogue character stating that Cullen " smells like elderflower and oakmoss ". Cullen will tell her that he used to come here as a child to get away from his siblings and the last time he was here was the day he left for Templar training. They play Thedosian chess together, sassing each other while they do, and Dorian is the biggest Shipper on Deck if a female Inquisitor romances Cullen. This could explain his changing character, which arguably does not match up with all three games. During the course of the main 3 Dragon Age games Dragon Age: Origins, Dragon Age 2, and Dragon Age: Inquisition we see his character go through a lot of development due to his heart breaking story and, depending on the choices we chose to make in Inquisition, he either recovers from the tragedies he faces, or falls to them. Face paint? She serves as an adviser to the Inquisitor in the area of espionage and is The Inquisition's main Spymaster. He finally achieved his childhood dream to become a Templar when he was assigned to the Circle Tower at Kinloch Hold , under Knight-Commander Greagoir.
Cullen Stanton Rutherford born in approximately Dragon [6] [7] is a Fereldan templar. In Dragon Age: Inquisition , Cullen acts as the Inquisitor 's military adviser, and is a romance option for either human or elven female Inquisitors. Born in the Fereldan village of Honnleath , Cullen was the second eldest child of four.
Cullen later struggles with lyrium withdrawal when he tries to wean himself off of his addiction. They snipe at each other occasionally, but it seems to be largely in good humor; some of the codex entries which include notes from them contain wickedly funny banter, particularly in Jaws of Hakkon. Incompatible Orientation : A male Inquisitor can flirt with him early, and he'll blush fetchingly, but he won't be romanceable outside of mods. And because of you, I am going to romance Iron Bull after Solas. His parents agreed to the request, as the Templar Order was known to be a respectable and honorable profession, and they wanted to give their son the opportunity to have a life that would make him happy. Guile Heroine : The very talent that pushed Leliana to call her to the Inquisition. If you give the proof of Red Crossing to the Dalish rather than the Chantry, it results in a war table mission where the Dalish want to send a mourning halla to modern Red Crossing as an apology gift. What he witnesses here warps and twists him for nearly a decade to come. Each time Cullen appears in the Dragon Age trilogy, he is visibly changed. One of the best things about Cullen's character design is how plainly haunted he is by what he has survived. He was eight years old when he told his brother and sisters that he would become a Templar.
This simply matchless message ;)
I do not doubt it.
I thank for the help in this question, now I will know.
