Came across this video while thinking through ways to add a cheap DIY pedal kit to a kayak. Seems like it would work but what are your thoughts? That could lead to a multitude of design variations, maybe some better ones, if you try to DIY. I would make sure to adapt the peddle area to add some type of swivel design. Are you someone who has a kayak but wants to free their hands? Or do you want to zoom around the water before the day ends? If yes, converting your kayak to a pedal drive or installing the motor is the best option. This will get you free hands, and you will get more time for fishing. Using the old kayak and installing any of these will also save a lot of money.
