Legacy of the Nine Realms is a paranormal fantasy series by Amelia Hutchins. The first novel in the series is Flames of Chaos. Aria is the heroine of the series from the Hecate family of witches who is determined to correct the mistakes committed by her ancestors even if it means going to war. Aria is not any ordinary witch; she comes from a ruling family of witches and is a descendant of Hecate. Her family gave their kingdoms to others and relocated to another world. They discover that things have changed in the human realm, and not everything is what it seems. While Aria tries looking for her missing twin, Amara, at Haven falls, she meets Knox, a dangerous, mysterious man declaring himself a king. When Knox calls her, Arian knows that he has an agenda. Knox is one of those characters with elicit strong feelings.

Slight OW drama: If you have read the series then you know Hecate is OBSESSED with Knox and the fact she got him trapped in her darkness was all she could do to get him, she does kiss him but it's one sided as he is unresponsive but we also get a few scenes where Knox tells her of all the things they have done sexually and I got sick so did Aria but then Aria realizes everyone who is infected by the darkness is basically impotent and so was Knox, confirming it never happened and her one sided kisses was all that it was. Aria is a chaotic beauty. Knox is nowhere to be found. Holy SHIT! Blossom Books. Overall, the whole book was difficult to read, felt like a completely different series, and seemed completely rushed. Uh yah. A kingdom left in ashes. I am excited to see where the story goes in King of Chaos and I am praying that a little someone survives! No no no. She must be commended for writing this book with everything going on in her life. It has never been well written, but I have been enthralled by the action, fun side characters, and vicious romance. It is merciless, savage, and a view of how broken things overcome against inconceivable odds. Will she be receiving my therapy bill? How did Knox being taken, and then saved, add to the overall story line? It ended pretty abruptly and it felt choppy? We find out alllll about the Prometheus line, how the Realms were made, the prophecy, and how Aria came to be. Maybe I missed things which meant that I didn't piece everything together. She writes alpha-hole males and the alpha women who knock them on their arse, hard. Why didn't she tuck tail and run like she did any other time there was a genuine threat to her life? The only redeemable character here is Zyion. It was all suspicious, but we get answers, and it basically stamps the approval to trust him. I will say Knox was showing himself in times when he thought Aria was with other men and was really possessive towards her as he always has been , showing that our Knox was still inside him and not all was lost.
