The Lightreaper is a formidable boss in Lords of the Fallen and because of his desperation to take the Umbral Lamp from you, he can appear at multiple points throughout the story. As The Lightreaper is seen in the prologue of the game, it's clear that he's an important part of the story. We see him take the Umbral Lamp from the Dark Crusader , and as the next inheritor of it, it's not surprising that he spends the game tracking you down. He will get stuggers on your shield like you hitting wall with duals. I can't think of any reason to do it as early as I did unless you just want the drip or weapons. Just like the Skinstealer , there are times when The Lightreaper will just perform a slash attack once or a lunge attack. But if you are like me and don't care about any of that and just want the challenge, Try poison. With each proceeding melee attack, you will be able to keep backing up or blocking them while waiting for the attack animation to complete. Either block each consecutive strike from this combo attack or back up to avoid every swipe of the swords. An Ignite Cure can get rid of this status effect, but you may also spend two points in any Stat as you level up to increase your resistance to any negative affliction in Lords of The Fallen.

Roll towards target and celebrate victory. I recommend learning how to roll his really fast double slash combo which he uses mostly in his first 2 phases. If failed, he will next spawn next at either the Fief of the Chilled Curse, down the road, after the Hollow Crow boss fight. He is later again encountered in Fitzroy's Gorge. This is the boss you encounter and presumably get wrecked by in the Defiled Sepulchre near the beginning of the game. Feels kinda dumb to basicly punish someone for taking him out early by locking them out of the quests. You need to defeat the dragon mount first before the hunter steps off to get rid of the fire attacks that are the hardest to avoid. Fire Spread The Lightreaper can spread lines of fire in different directions. He is staying at Upper Calrath arena even if u die Therefore a more ideal way of defeating him would be the second encounter shortly after Ruiner near the Gorge area. The boss leaps into the air before landing back on the ground with a heavy stab of at least one sword. He has a set pattern and is vulnerable after many attacks.
