During the Iron Age, an age where several different Viking tribes fought each other for land, resources and supremacy, a spaceship comes hurtling towards earth and crash lands in a lake near a Viking village. But he is not alone. The ship also brings a monster known to Kainan and his people as the Moorwen. The Moorwen gets to work immediately by destroying one village as Kainan attempts to track him. Kainan is captured by Wulfric and his men with whom he joins arms to battle the Moorwen. Outlander is a really well made movie. The Moorwen is well designed and special effects surrounding it are done well. The movie does turn out to be a romantic story between Kainan and Freya with only one villain, the Moorwen. Create account. So much better than I was expecting- great cast. The Viking part is not done terribly well, and Jack Huston sounds way too much of a luvvie to be taken seriously as a Norse warrior. Not the kind you would expect from a movie with a little higher ambition. Unfortunately some major plot points are sacrificed, but "Outlander" doesn't suffer too much. The prehistoric people are nothing out of the ordinary either-a wooden fortress, animal-skin clad villagers and monarch based ruling system. The Moorwen planet war scene is truly great and the only thing I regret is that they were not longer - I can enjoy out-of-this-world landscapes anytime! Duration 1 h 55 m. Outlander is worth a look and even if you don't like it, you can't deny how perfectly it defines the so-bad-it's-good adage. Having an intense love of both Vikings and rampaging alien monsters, I hoped I'd be in for a treat with this movie.

The people who came up with this film had a perfect use of their thinking, intelligence and brainstorming to make this film. I had never seen the trailer of this movie nor any much publicity whatsoever,but it came as a clear surprise for me after getting to watch it,i liked it very much. Even then, you will look at the cover and think about whether you really want to watch it, but decide that you will do so, and as such, when you do, you suddenly discover that this is a really good movie. It makes you think in a Terminator sort of way. The sets, music and cinematography were good too. It's very well done.
