Joined: Mar 19, Posts: Likes Received: As heavy as fishing arrows are i almost feel like i have to increase the draw weight to help with those deeper shots into 3 feet of water. The Simpleshot Hammer XT set up for arrows has a 27 lb draw weight off the shelf. So about 25 lbs if you hold it back for a second or 2 before release. For shooting a light arrow thats fine and its really very snappy and feels good to shoot. But the fishing arrows ar so heavy which i believe is needed to keep them moving in the water.
