When Mike and Sulley get banished to the wasteland in the Himalayas, they fight each other until the shadow of a huge and seemingly menacing figure appears. It shortly turns out to be the Yeti, who greets them and makes them feel comfortable in his cave while offering yellow snow cones which he claims to be lemon-flavored while Mike thought it were made from urine. The Yeti also shows himself to be a comedian, such as when he mentions about his friend Bigfoot, who has called himself "King Itchy" to cheer up Sulley, who still feels guilty about scaring Boo , the human girl that he has accidentally brought into the Monster World, during the scare simulator demonstration.

The Adorable Snowman used to live in a cave in the Himalayas , and despite his banishment, he enjoyed living in the Human World but was still more than happy to return home to the monster realm. One of his favorite hobbies is making lemon snow cones, and he is now the official Monsters Inc. Prior to being banished, the Abominable Snowman was friends with a monster named Bigfoot. Upon Bigfoot's banishment, he went a bit crazy, creating a large diaper made of poison ivy and wearing it on his head, calling himself "King Itchy", which the Snowman thought was unfortunate. Yeti landed a job working in the mailroom at Monsters, Inc. When Mike and Sulley were employed there, the Yeti assisted in training them, warning them that improper handling of the mail is punishable by banishment, to which the two thank him for the warning. Waternoose, they were greeted by the Yeti. Contrary to his name and appearance, the Abominable Snowman was very friendly, offering them snow cones and allowing them to stay in his cave for a short time. When he passively mentioned a local village, Sulley desperately asked for directions, as he was trying to make his way back to Monstropolis and rescue Boo. The journey would have been roughly a three-day hike, so Sulley fashioned a sled out of the gear in the Snowman's cave. The Yeti warned Sulley about the cold, but Sulley decided to take his chances, leaving Mike behind with the Snowman. Mike later found his way back to the company, possibly with help from the Snowman.
