Ashley and Carly Clark purchased Splitters Farm in mid with a view to give their five children the benefit of a farm-based rural upbringing. Ashley Clark began flower farming at age 16 and went on to become an electrician. Carly Clark grew up on acreage as a kid in South West Sydney and always loved animals. Her very first job at 14 was picking up eggs on a battery hen farm so she was also exposed to animal cruelty through unsustainable farming practices from a young age. The dream has evolved ever since. They bought acre dump yes, it was literally a dumping ground on the outskirts of Bundaberg in the middle of drought and almost as soon as they had fences that worked they began taking on rescue animals. In order to supplement the growing costs of feed and vet bills for so many, Carly began running farm tours in late however the couple felt that there was an opportunity to educate and inspire guests if they could stayed longer. During the couple got busy building a farm stay, and in Dec the Clark family opened the accommodation side of the farm business with over 50 powered camp sites with 8 deluxe glamping tents to follow soon after.
